@boota1979 The bigger picture is an imperialist far right nationalist dictator has returned to europe 80 odd years after the last one. 60 odd million died worldwide last time.

@keithparker1346 Why would "putins" russia invade ukraine? They did though. Didnt they. They openly admit now it was for imperialist purposes. To restore the ussr empire. Into this "greater russian world" that they seek which would once again rival the west. Which would include many, now independant, nations that left the soviet empire in the 1990s.

@simchalebovitch6944 Neither was gordon brown. Just to be politically fair
2
@mark22c Putin expected control of ukraine in 3 days tho.

@adds8235 Why would an american be commenting on a british talk/tv/radio comment section? Putin troll by chance? By the way i have researched this conflict back to stalin times so if you want to test me go ahead.

They are about as corrupt as your spelling of it.

Is that the same "project ukraine" that 92% of ukranians voted for in 1991 when cameron wasnt even a politician. As for trump. In my opinion putin has connections, maybe even financial, with the whole maga movement. He was trying pre trumps election win last time through the NRA and the maria butina spy episode. So its seems pretty obvious to me those connections have now been made in the intervening years. Hence maga using putin rhetoric with anti west/democracy/nato bollox all the time.

What trouble would that be then? I see thousands risking their lives trying to move and live here. They see no trouble. I voted for his party at the time though i disagreed with his brexit stance. He was still the best of the many tory leaders we have had over the last few years imho.

Corrupt and a tyrant. Perfect description of putin. Thankfully no money is going to him but a more beneficial recipient.
1
Or he has a better chance of persuading trump to allow the congress vote. Fat chance as everybody knows trump is putins poodle.

@yaseen157 Brexit tho also means no more elected meps simply rubberstamping unelected commisioners policies through. As for the currency the UK isnt the only one recovering from a world pandemic along with a war in europe affecting energy supply.

Alot of germans thought that hitler was the best leader in the world too. Education wasnt great back then mind. So whats your excuse?

Just testing to see if this comment gets removed. Tis either you tube algorithm, block downvoting by putin trolls or a combination of both. This just got removed a few minutes ago. "The only referendum that matters here is the ukraine independance referendum of 1991. 92% voting in favour of independance from a union with russia. All the oblasts and regions voting in favour including crimea and the donbas. Ukraine were then recognised worldwide including by russia as a sovereign independant state. So when putin cloned puppet yanukovych scrapped plans to join the european union for one with the very country they voted 92% to leave in 1991 then no wonder a euromaidan occured. There was also the corruption and ever authoritarian methods used by yanukovychs government which led to the demonstration. Including changing the constitution and jailing his main political opponent yulia tymoshenko. Authoritarian methods which eventually led him to ordering his special berkut police unit to open fire on unarmed demonstrators killing 120 and injuring thousands at maidan. There had already been a similar demonstration against yanukovych in 2004 when the orange revolution overturned a yanukovych election victory by corruption. Which was proven as his poisoned opponent yuschenko won the rerun comfortably. Evidence of electoral corruption was also found in his abandoned palace when he fled after maidan casting doubt on his 2010 electoral victory. The only history that matters is the current history. Which is showing that imperial extreme far right nationalism didnt die out with the second world war. Putin seemingly wanting to create this "greater russian world" empire. Similar to the soviet empire he was brought up and served under. First he tried politically with yanukovych and through his state funded propaganda that was being broadcast to the russian speaking border areas of ukraine ever since he came to power. No doubt causing the political and later ethnic division required. After that failed he turned to his military and his failed 3 day regime change in kiev. Which has now turned into, not only a complete disaster for him, but a tragedy for the many ukranians and his own that have lost their lives through his dictatorial imperialist ambitions". Whatever happened to.........free speech.

Interesting this hasnt been removed yet. Perhaps i will do my own general comment on a video now instead of just replying to individual comments with the truth.

@keithparker1346 Well that red line has got even closer now with finland joining. Ever thought about being civilised and not needing red lines? Or living in peace with your neighbours. It was never about NATO expansion or ukranian nazis. It was about the soviet empire collapsing and putin + others wanting to re establish it.
1
Get putin and his extreme far right imperialist nationalism out of NATOs backyard more like. Mps are elected by the people. Are they all TRAITORS too?
1
@boota1979 "we"...I dont think so matey. Predictable....Yep. A predictably truthful reply. An unpaid lover of democracy and all its associated freedoms. Thats me. Whereas you worship the putin/trump cult. A predictably untruthful anti western/democracy/nato flock of sheep obedient only to their equivalent masters. Cultishness to the extreme.
1
This waterhead is still flying their flag. Its up to the ukranians to decide on peace talks. They are the ones who were invaded, having their people killed and their villages, towns and cities flattened. As for it being a NeoCon war then i dont see providing aid the same as direct military intervention. Even corrupt capitalist extreme conservative russia is doing it for imperial purposes.
1
2 years late with that propaganda. Well past its sell by date.
1
According to the well trusted and uncorruptable donna00777..........................NOT!

Getting rid of gaddaffi was a balls up? I still remember lockerbie and him providing arms to the IRA. Plus it was just part of the whole arab spring movement that brought turmoil to the middle east. Though morocco succeeded with democratic change if memory serves me right.
1
Funny you mention them but not the evil warmonger who is actually waging his illegal war in ukraine. Wouldnt be due to an agenda per chance.
1
Thats nationalism to a tee. Exactly what putin stands for. Exactly what his state funded propaganda bollox pushes worldwide. Exactly what you just repeated. So either your extreme far right yourself or your name is ivan and you frequent a st petersburg troll farm.
1
More far right nationalist/putin propaganda. With a british twist for british consumption. 1.5 billion usd/15 billion rubles a year "putins" russia spends on its propaganda budget. Half on its state tv/radio and the other half on RT and other social media to promote and target nationalism worldwide.
1
More putin propaganda bollox. If ukraine is no different to russia then why are millions of ukranians fighting and dying to preserve their independance from "putins" russia? Why have both zelensky and poroshenko before him stood for election on anti corruption tickets? You should try looking nearby if you want corruption. Ask navalnys widow. He prioritised challenging corruption in putins russia. Same with nemtsov. Try asking his widow and family too. Try the corrupt pro putin oligarchs in ukraine who backed putin puppet yanukovych pre maidan. Most of the ukraine corruption left with yanukovych and his oligarch pro russia/putin supporters. The EU would never accept a corrupt ukraine into its organisation. Yet they are proceeding with it. So how does that fit with ukraine being corrupt then?
1
"Our options have not changed" ....There was a time when there was only a few tv and radio channels in the uk. Now there are zillions.
1
Just like putin and his proxies like you use western social media to push his propaganda narrative. Plain and simple.
1
Really. I could have sworn putins russia invaded ukraine. Twice come to think of it. If you include "putin proxies" in crimea and the dombass. Methinks you need to return from the parallel universe you now reside.
1
Well then, they can vote for any alternative they want then, cant they? As for the western media. It has multiple outlets from the left, centre and right. Loads of independants too. So there are always checks and balances for the people to decide for themselves the truth and then act/vote accordingly come election time. None of this is available in putins russia.
1
He may be an old man but he will stand up to imperialist dictators like putin. Unlike trump who wants to become putins poodle.
