  1. I doubt the 120 ukranians who died at maidan were protesting about a laptop. Freedom and democracy, you know, those things that all americans are supposed to be passionate about. The things ukraine want as well. That has nothing to do with this?

Just like he later scrapped the EU bid which caused the maidan in 2014. In 1991 ukraine voted 92% for its independance from russia. All the oblasts voted in favour including donbas and crimea. So when yanukovych proposed a union again with russia instead of the EU, thats why maidan happened. The political corruption came through yanukovych from putin. He never recognised that 1991 referendum despite all the countries of the world, including russia, recognising ukraine as an independant soverreign state. If you believe, that if trump was president none of this would have occured, im afraid you dont understad putin and dictators like him. It isnt NATO that scares him its democracy. And ukraine being a democracy was a red line for him. This invasion proved it. And the brutality of it shows he aint scared of any president especially with his nukes to fall back on.
