  1.  @RedKnight-fn6jr  Pulling it's weight for what? Ireland isn't a nation that's made for war. If someone was stupid enough to attack Ireland they'll have all of Europe to fight against, because Ireland is a corridor from the Atlantic into Europe, or from Europe into the Atlantic. It's a major strategic position, Ireland will never go into a defensive war by themselves.

  2.  @reksiohundson8706  They have permissal jurisdiction over our airspace, like I said, until Ireland demands otherwise. Being given permission to respond to threats within our airspace is being given operational jurisdiction within our airspace. I never said anything else, while I'd love for our military to expand it's airforce capabilities (especially in parachute regiment friendly drop planes), I don't think we're going to see any breakthroughs until someone with a but of cop on hops into a seat of power. Believe me when I say I'd love for Ireland to broaden it's operational capabilities.

  3.  @reksiohundson8706  The RAF have jurisdiction over Irish Airspace ever since WWI, this was further amplified by WWII when English infrastructure in Ireland was bombed by the Luftwaffe. The jurisdiction has never been lifted because Irish Airspace is within a few dozen kilometres from England, and since Ireland has no real airforce they RAF fills the role, the jurisdiction of the RAF over Irish Airspace will be lifted when Ireland so demands it.

  6. The RAF has jurisdiction over the Irish airspace until Ireland demands it to no longer be so, it's been that way since WWI.
