Strangely enough, the Russians STILL occupy the land they did 18 months ago. Certainly NOT defeated, it is a game of attrition, in which the numbers are stacked in favour of Russia. It is NOT great for Ukraine. Their Spring offensive was just nothing. They destroyed themselves against Russia's best tactic. Let the enemy expend itself on the multi-layered defences. They did the same in Kursk in 1943. Every day they occupy Ukraine is a victory for Russia. That is NOT good.
