  1. The US banking system is 20 years behind everyone else. Keep on banging the drum Dan....it is old news. After the 2008 Banking crisis, all the banks in the UK went digital. We had 4 bank branches in our town and now there are NONE. Cheques...lol...the last time we used them was 20 years ago. The US banks need to rationalise, and that means closing branches. Your estimate of 25% is waaaaay off. Try 75% branch closures. You need a bank, 'oh here is the phone number, or use your phone app'... I had a conversation with a Branch Business Manager in 2003 and said to him, that branches are dead and everything will be done online. He didn't want to hear that, and said the 'Branches need to be here so old Jeanie can get her bill stamped'..... He was wrong, and I was correct. Because we were IT consultants, we knew what the Banks strategy was going to be.....they managers did NOT have a clue.
