Nice one Kenny. The problem I've had before is multiple faults hide each other. they do not become apparent, until each fault is fixed. No surprise it had a mis-fire, the faulty fuel pump was hiding the fact it could not fire properly. In all probability they Tech that worked on the vehicle before, did cause a lot of the faults. Why would anyone try to repair a fuel pump. The electronics in each component ensures they are not serviceable. Any competent tech understands this. The vehicle did not throw any codes because the cylinders were all down. If you think of it, any mechanical wear and tear will be factored into the engine management software. If all the cylinders are showing the same performance, it wont throw a code on higher mileage engines. Once you fixed the fuelling issue - then the software can detect something is wrong.
