I was onsite away from home about 15 years ago, and went to the local motor factor for a new set of sparkplugs to diagnose a misfire. They only had Champion crap, so I bought them and started to fit them. The first plug I only got it hand tight and started to tighten it up to the first stage of the crush washer. The plug broke when it was only 15lbs torque, just where that one broke. It left the threaded part in the hole. Fortunately I had my tool box with me and had a looong shaft flat head screwdriver about 2 feet long. I pushed that down until it caught the broken plug and gave it s light tap to wedge on the inside of the thread. It screwed out easy, as there was no pressure on the thread. I put the NGK plugs back in and went to another factors who had a set of quality NGK plugs. I should have known better using these Champion crap. I do not know how they re still selling garbage.
