  1. The simple fact is that inflation has happened. Car prices are only going UP - they are never coming DOWN. It is of no consequence what you paid for your vehicle 10 years ago. Car prices have effectively doubled. They will never come down. If you want cheap reliable car, you have to buy a Chinese EV. Oh wait, the tariffs on these cars mean you will never be able to buy them. There are cheap cars out there - but your administration does not want you to have cheap cars, only very expensive US cars. Just 5 years ago, half of ALL VW sales were in China. Now cheap Chinese EV's undercut VW prices and the company has seen its revenues and share prices collapse. You guys get stuffed by your own Govt. Only now, the EU are trying to protect their own car manufacturing by applying tariffs to Chinese cars. Where does all the parts to make cars originate? Yes - China.
