One BIG take is the frightening proposition of another US depression. What triggered the 1928 depression was NOT the stock crash. But US protectionism. As the recession brought on by the stock crash started to bite. The US made the mistake was going into full US protectionism. The US Govt tried to protect US jobs by creating tariffs in imports. Instead of helping the working Joe, it guaranteed a full blown DEPRESSION. The scary thing is....these mistakes are being repeated today. When you put tariffs on imports, it DESTROYS the US economy. Closing borders and shutting down trade will just destroy the US. You got to remember the STRONGEST economy is now China. They do not have to sell goods to the US, they sell to Russia and Iran. They DO NOT use the dollar for trade, all moneys are paid in local currency. You do not know how dangerous that is for US inflation.
