does this ban cover the ones used by police ? i bet not 15 round mag size is banned. question anyone what clip size i s in a Beretta 9MM ANSWER 15 in the mag and 1 in the pipe .

@Mattb2323 like usual tho rules for thee but not for me it is my belief if they are going to ban these weapons and the clip sizes, then that should apply to police as well then you wouldn't hear about police victims with 96 bullet wounds

@Galaxy2517 its not about what i think it means, but what the actual writers of it says it means. like everything else they supposedly left guides to what they meant but the words they used
1
@Galaxy2517 in the time that the 2nd was written, it literally meant to be well trained, organized and disciplined. some states, like Louisiana, have recently passed laws that fly in the face of this meaning. allowing concealed permit-less carry with out and mandate that training be required quite literally is the very opposite of the meaning of the 2nd's intent
1
@thurin84 then you are backwards. you can not have one with out the other.

@filthykallahan6399 even with the firearms arguments both for and against by our elected officials, they have all been guessing as to what the chosen words in the 2d amendment mean. they use the federalist papers and others to say who cant own or possess a weapon system, but they all of a sudden forget those very same sources when it comes to the definitions of the words at the time it was written. the very same thing you are doing here.
1
@thurin84 thats it? that all you have? no supporting your side of the argument? good to know.

@brandonwood3442 no i dont hate guns, in fact i own several. all collected from my time in service in the Army. i was not attempting to apply 21st century definition, i was literally using the definitions of 18th century as to the the definition and meaning of "regulated" . you can type in "18th century meaning of regulated" and you get your answer. too bad it doesn't agree with your interpretation of its meaning. i am on the side of people being able to own and posses firearms of any type, however i am not in support of it not coming with some basic and common sense guidelines to go along with it. you know simple things like training. on what ever weapon system you own, or have an interest in buying. if you cant see that is something necessary that follows along with the very intent , definition and meaning of the 2nd amendment it's self then you really are missing something. you must have one part to have the other function as it is meant to
1
@thurin84 wrong. language has and will always continue to evolve, as well as the definitions and all incorporated meanings to such. the very word "regulated" is the best example. what it meant in the 18 century is not what most consider it to mean today. sorry you dont like or can understand that
1
@LLKV64n65 then why are there so many states doing the exact opposite. Louisiana's new law hands people a gun with no training or even a license. i know what you think it means, but the very people that we have elected cant even get the intended meaning correct. you say potato, i say potato. get it. besides you are what, 3 months late to the conversation.
