  4. things like this keep making my arguments for me. if you are going to charge teenagers as adults, you are saying they knew or know how to think or act like an adult. if that is the case, laws need to be changed on who is an adult and who is not . as well as what job they can have as an adult

  8. its not just New Orleans. here in Thibodaux my bill went from 140.00 one month to 350 the next month, and cause of the heat my ac hasnt shut off for 3 months. for May and June i had no bill cause they said i was over charged. how can they tell me im not being over charged again ? how the hell can my bill more than double , when nothing in my house has changed. but this is a company driven by greed. so good luck getting an answer

  14. i agree with you. a gun is no different than a knife or a saw. it is like any tool. someone has to pick it up and use it for it to do something. there has never been a report of a weapon just firing its self. that could increase the penalties for any crime involving a gun  @barkmaker

  19. thats every insurance company .my home needs to be re-leveled and they are claiming it is cause of "flood" damage not wind damage . they are doing every thing they can not to pay out . they want that money every month but never want to give it out when needed

  27.  @Vercingetorix504  it is the story of Louisiana tho. there are only 2 kinds of people living here. those too poor to move and those too stuck to leave. we are constantly at the bottom of the major lists in this nation, and yet the people that get elected keep giving away taxes to companies that can clearly afford them. nothing is being done to make the education system better. this state literally has one 3 things going for it. tourism, the oil field, the sugar industry. do people do not realize that the very tax breaks are what fund everything they take for granted? roads schools, police, fire, the levee system, in most parishes. its funny the states that scream the loudest about "freedom" and personal choice are the same ones who will take it away from others.

  28.  @rainbeauxunicorn5237  because it did before WE screwed up the entire system. the levee system came into existence aster the flood of 27. the river built this state thru all the eons of flooding and depositing silt to build up the land. with out that mechanism continuing, the land began to sink, which is why the levees were not as high as they should have been when Katrina hit. the Indian tribes knew not to settle in a flood plane.

  32. NOPD might not encourage people taking the law in their own hands, but the legislature sure does. many of them even said so when passing the recent gun bills. with saying and the thought of more guns on the street makes people safer

  50. right so make insurance even more UN-afforable, so when there is a hurricane it puts even more or a burden on agencies like FEMA and such correct we are not a rich state, cause this sate allows corporate tax breaks putting more of the tax burden on people who don't make much. companies that can clearly afford to pay their taxes should not be given these breaks, the poor who could use a tax break should get it. worker pay stays the same meanwhile the cost of living keeps going up and up and up. taxes keep going up and up and up. at some point the glass ceiling will break
