  11. i can agree with that , but allow me to ask how much bitching do you do when they go up on tuition just to refurbish a football locker room ? i would say let them take the money from that particular department . the last time they tried to raise the college tuition in some European countries the students protested to such effect that the university backed down on the tuition

  12.  @Lavadx  that is the big thing . i can see ,but not really, of why it is worth 80k per yr . follow the logic i have in this . if this were not going on right now and you son would be attending classes in the room with all the other students and the proff with out interruption fine i can see the argument being made that he has full use of the facilities in every way . can the same thing be said now ? the student center isnt open . power has been off in many classrooms ,many other student services that had to be "manned" by actual human beings , have been closed. i would venture to say the college has not been spending the money the past 2 months they would have been spending if people were actually on the campus . so where is your rebate for that ? colleges are getting tax payer funded rebates , where is your personal rebate for not using all the college has to offer ? just thinking on the save money end .
