i believe there should be a law stating that a politician of any office should swear in on the constitution, not a religious book

@TheeRocker considering they themselves weren't christian, they were puritans. read that oath again. what exactly are they swearing to uphold and defend? here is a hint it is not a book about the made up or make believe. if it is your faith, good i am glad for you, but this being a nation of many faiths, allowing one faith ti dictate how laws are ruled or made, well my belief is that they are by default declaring a religion for the nation with out making a declaration of such

@tremas3329 but they were not christian, as some believe they were. besides that point, my point was that swearing in to political office makes less sense than swearing in on the constitution, which clearly stated in the oath they take
