@catlover2652 the same thoughts should apply to even those affected by hurricanes or tornadoes. i had to drop my home insurance because i just couldn't afford it anymore. i am now dreading the next hurricane season especially since i still haven't had my home repaired since Hurricane Ida

@anti-rioter-15 i have much sympathy for them, because i live along the gulf coast and went thru the very same thing with Hurricane Ida, and still have my home falling apart around me. then last year Francine came around and flood us out again. although not as bad, but it still compounded the damage that was done by Ida. i now have what looks like a patchwork of wood covering holes in my floor where the subfloor has rotted away. but like we cajuns have always done, we make do and survive. i am tired of surviving, i want to live. i cant stand today's "Christians" they want to use the bible as a hammer to tell other people how they should live, and using it tot look down on others to justify their own prejudices and hatreds. the only people of any faith that have literally helped people are the Amish. the thoughts and prayers crowd need to keep that shit to themselves. thoughts and prayers don't help people. action helps people

@treasuretrails the very same thing should be said about this country in general. you cant have homeless people right next to mega rich people and call yourself the greatest nation on the planet. only the uber rich people think that because they are literally suckling from the government subsidiary tit and never paying taxes. the United States is far from the nation it once was even 20 years ago. we dont help each other up. we only look to push down on those we dont like. which is EXACTLY what you did. i bet your state doesn't miss a beat when it comes to accepting those federal dollars. the top 10 states that pay in the most in tax dollars are BLUE states. the top 10 states that suck on the federal welfare titty are RED states.
