if the student is at the time involved in a current school activity, then yes the student should be held to account for their behavior. if the student is not at a current school activity, and it doesn't not take place on school ground, then the school or school board has no business in any attempt to regulate or to punish a student for their for speech. this is all bout suppression of speech that may show certain faculty in a negative light. what i also dont agree with is the parent of a fellow cheer squad member as the coach or the cheer squad. that situation has the potential for bias .
