We understand consequences, it's what stops us from doing many things. It's just that things that don't rely on a physical or otherwise important asset in their punishment do not cross our minds, for instance we have no moral qualms about taking someone's money, but legal concerns often prevent us from doing so.

@Inverted4260 You may be thinking that us psychopaths can have cognitive empathy and confuse it with the real thing. Simply put, we do not have empathy and we never experience such things, sociopaths however often retain some as they were not always like that

@EVERGREEN13579 I'm sorry for the late reply but I just saw this now. The topic of the "Full human experience" is actually quite an interesting one. Not long ago I had a discussion that I became rather invested in with the topic of depth in a person, in my own view emotions are only a small portion of what makes up the depth of a person, they are superficial and nothing more than a reaction of a deeper self. This view is of course swayed by my attitude but I feel there is some logic behind such a thing. I think the true depth of a person lies in their personal philosophy and the actions they choose when even emotionally it means nothing. I have done things that are irrational when it comes to my nature, I have helped people whilst expecting nothing in return, not from any goodness but because I simply felt I wanted to. Emotions are just something to wear on the shell that is our skin, I feel that focusing on them too much is just as much a case of being shallow as hardly having them is, to truly understand and appreciate someone we should understand their thought process and observe the things they do when there is nothing to it. Apologies for this random reply, I simply saw your comment and it brought me back to that discussion that intrigued me so deeply.
