  1. Keep a brag document. Write down everything you do that's brag worthy with some level of detail, and provide the numbers to back it up. It will help you for raises, promo, and your resume.

  2. Great points in this video! My experience has been that the best companies give very aggressive raises to top performers, and almost nothing to low performers. In the company I currently work for, 10-15% YoY is not uncommon, and if you're on a growth fast track your promo cycles can put that at 20-30% YoY. But you hit the nail on the head here, that's only for the top performers, and if people don't perform, they get nothing.
