  1. +dLimboStick I haven't found that to be necessarily true. In my experience there is a great divide between area of expertise as well. STEM majors will take the most pride in the nerd label, whereas the languages will more often take offence.

  3. B: The same counts for the acrylic ball as before, the cup gets as much extra mass as the mass of the water it displaces. On the left side, the same happens as with the acrylic ball. Except there are 2 differences:  1. the ping pong ball itself has a mass which drives the cup down. 2. The force that drove the acrylic ball upwards (and with it the water downwards) is still present, except now it does not take away from the Force of tention present in the string. Instead, it pushes against a hand which is pushing it down. Effectively increasing the mass of the beaker further. This is why I believe that the ping pong ball will be heavier this time.

  4. I found the rule in after 4 or 5 sequences; waiting for one to come along that was in opposing sequence, those were a lot of wasted number strings xD
