Massive monopolistic corporations are a small price to pay to maintain their technogical scientific and military superiority.   7. Every thing has a cost the chinese generation that suffered through this 996 culture just gave their children a better life. Most of the comment sectiom seems to be filled with americans. Well off westerners and other citizens of wealthy states wont understand the value scraping the bottom and clawing your way to the top. Nothing is easy that includes lifting a nation of a billion people out of poverty, I personally think the CCP has lost its way but what they have been able to achieve has been because the previous generation has sacrificied its future for the present ones. This what countries like India have not been able to do. Obviously this cant go on forever but it has to happen make that first climb, happened in Malaysia as it did in South Korea. Most people screaming at this are petty idiots who cant see beyond their nose. Plus china is rich enough as of 2021 to crack down on toxic work culture and get away with it with minimal consequences.
