  1. The Chinese had Deng and the Han Chinese, Singapore had Lee Kuan Yew, Goh Keng Swee and a Han Chinese majority, Malaysia had Mahathir Mohammad, UMNO and the Bhumiputras. The only Sub Saharan African nation that could have done it has already crossed the barriers. Botswana under Seretse Khama did some real good work and they now reap the benefits of it. Also Angola seems promising and their is potential in Somaliland and to some extent Kenya. The Rest are hopeless.
