  27.  @w67bv2cxm  middle of the road and the final statement dont really go hand in hand. Plus democrat controlled states are known to have more regulatory oversight, california's tryst with wildfires is a known quantity. Texas has a problem and that can be solved, cali's problems are much more deepseated, geographic and ideogical, Texas is a practical state know the saying once a cat that's been burned by hot milk will be vary of it in the future, the people in power saw first hand the effects of these events they wont sit on their hands all Texas has to do ia winterize their system, its going to cost them but comparing Cali with Texas is like comparing a mentally ill geriatric to a hyper active youngster, both have their pros and cons, Texas is despite their anti-green rhetoric a significant contributor of green energy to the nation. People can scoff at Texas for republicans all they want, but tge one good thing about Republicans(excluding Trumpers, the line does gef hazy) is that they are exceptionally profit and cost conscious and quite a bit pragmatic(they have their flaws) but they are still exponentially better than californians with their idealized obsessions. From here in India I look at California and i see a reflection of everything wrong with unbridled social liberalism and environmentalism disconnected from reality I say that as somebody who considers global warming and climate change to be an existential threat and values the importance of a meritocratic society with a support system to incentivise the least fortunate among us.
