  2. 15:47 North Africa is just a corner of Africa(an important one but a corner nonetheless). The overdose of "imperialism" "local resources benefitting local population" might sound good(solid attempt at making a sj crap), but you need functional institutions and competant politco-bureaucratic structure to ensure that any of the things necessary for these projects to be viable in the long run are made to be so. East Asia didnt develop just turn out to be what is because of capital inflows from the US or the west in general, they had men of illustrious caliber, who built the institutions and organisations that laid the foundation for their future, very few if any of the african states have that. Plus most North Africans dont consider themselves African, talk to actual sub saharan africans living in any of the nations off the southern mediterranean coast and you'll know what i mean.
