Lex is doing some good work

Yeah no thanks Lex. On my country we tried that shit. This prick is an advocate for a failed and dysfunctional ideology that does nothing but stifle individual aspirations for the maintainence of collective mediocrity at best embedded incompetance at worst. Not sayin what america has is better but its miles better than what he is advocating for. You dont see people rushing into socialist havens but you do see the diametric opposite.

Second time watching this, Insanely compelling.

my man. I see parallels. I spend my higher secondary grades with people who were significantly smarter and driven than I was. I was literally at the bottom of the class and cutoff for entry was already high. plus I got in through reservation, I wasnt the only one, Infact one of the smartest kids I knew got in courtesy of having reserved seats but he was significantly more productive and emotionally and mentally secure than I was.

0:39 Finally somebody who gets that. Being antidemocratic is fine. Like Gandhi said. Its better to be violent than put on the clock of nonviolence to cover impotence. People are by and large stupid, Running a state anf managing a society are things that have consequences that go beyond a s ingle individuals lifespan. Letting left wing ideologues, free market fundamentalists(though thats lost traction nowadays) parasitic social scientists and adjacent intellectual morons and populists dictate the terms of state policy(economic orsocial or political) is not just detrimental to national interest but the equivalent of death by a thousand cuts spread over a multidecade time span. The only thing Democracy does is give the onus of control to the people so that when they fck up, which they will, they womt be able to blame anybody else but themselves(but home many people do that and blame their own political choices all they do is blame the politicians and/or the ideology of the opposition.)

Dan's observation on the Jesus,Gandhi,King factor and their deaths as it relates to the effectiveness of non violent movements is just too intriguing.

well then. I am something of an "intelligent person" myself. on a serious note. I think thats just one part of the whole that determines and adds to human intelligence. The way I see it for "high iq" to be successful(financially academically) you need a mix of factors. Nature+Nurture(there are exceptions but two parent households with a healthy family environment+Character(a propensity to persevere under duress, willingness to sacrifice, value productivity)+Behavioural traits(low risk behaviour/lifestyle), location(preferably raised in a first world/second world country or a port city/national/economic capital/ regions with eminent research/educational institutions in any country, again there are exceptions) Being born smart doesnt guarentee success(however you may define it) in life there are innumerable examples in our history, but it is an undeniably valuable leg up(kinda like starting the race ahead) This just my opinion.

Ben Franklin with all due respect didn't live to see the 20th century. Bruh you are not a sovereign entity so pipe down.

It would've been wonderful if Lex had a conversation with Lee kuan Yew or Li Kwoh-ting. Those were the real greats.

@opmike343 thats true.

@thetruthhurts6652 artistic ? how do you define that ? sticking a banana onto a wall is art. Certain People place a premium on things like art as if that is going to revolutionize the human condition. when most people responsible for improving the human condition were intelligent in the conventional sense. Lee Kuan Yew, Goh Keng Swee, Sun Yun Suan, Noyce, Shockley where smart enough in their own right plus they had the ability to recognize and rope in the intelligent ones(which fits your common sense arguement as well).
