my man. I see parallels. I spend my higher secondary grades with people who were significantly smarter and driven than I was. I was literally at the bottom of the class and cutoff for entry was already high. plus I got in through reservation, I wasnt the only one, Infact one of the smartest kids I knew got in courtesy of having reserved seats but he was significantly more productive and emotionally and mentally secure than I was.

well then. I am something of an "intelligent person" myself. on a serious note. I think thats just one part of the whole that determines and adds to human intelligence. The way I see it for "high iq" to be successful(financially academically) you need a mix of factors. Nature+Nurture(there are exceptions but two parent households with a healthy family environment+Character(a propensity to persevere under duress, willingness to sacrifice, value productivity)+Behavioural traits(low risk behaviour/lifestyle), location(preferably raised in a first world/second world country or a port city/national/economic capital/ regions with eminent research/educational institutions in any country, again there are exceptions) Being born smart doesnt guarentee success(however you may define it) in life there are innumerable examples in our history, but it is an undeniably valuable leg up(kinda like starting the race ahead) This just my opinion.

@thetruthhurts6652 artistic ? how do you define that ? sticking a banana onto a wall is art. Certain People place a premium on things like art as if that is going to revolutionize the human condition. when most people responsible for improving the human condition were intelligent in the conventional sense. Lee Kuan Yew, Goh Keng Swee, Sun Yun Suan, Noyce, Shockley where smart enough in their own right plus they had the ability to recognize and rope in the intelligent ones(which fits your common sense arguement as well).
