@drawnfunny he has a point about the constant "country being rigged against them" chatter. the ironic aspect of this is that even of you set up multitrillion dollar fund(which could do reverse a lot of the damage of used and administered properly) for the improvement of "black experience" you'd still need a coherant and stable sociocultural background not every african american has that. compared to that newer african immigrants to US dont have those socio-cultural baggages plus they also mostly have their education paid for and have stable social setting and are prepped to compete in the US labour market for good paying jobs.

@Bladings That is something that actually can be solved and would go a long way in improving the quality of life for a lot of americans. The problem with the US is thing get down effectively at the local level as we move upwards from state to federal level however its harder to mount a coherant response, its the way the country is, i mean even before the settlers came, there was no overarching central authority despite the bountiful geography just regional powers that looked out for their own interests.

@bobfg3130 no where in your comments is it implied that you are capable of thinking let alone thinking clearly. "They're not paying anyone for unskilled labour" really ?. Do you know the difference between an engineer or a technician vs that of say a regular farm worker or somebody who works retail, there is a differemce in skill level, not paying enough is an issue but thats why the government is for to balance the interest of the State, The People and the Capital, because without all three working in conjuction you end up like your avg. third world country I should know I live in one. America's or California's problem in particular has to do with too much blind idealism borderline stupid, Are the citizens of California really recieving what they paid for in taxes. There are nation states that are less richer than Cali but are able to providing govt. services competantly and effectively without such blatant incompetance. Your obsession with "wage theft" focuses on a narrow issue without understanding why or how to resolve it and what are effects that will follow, instead you pin it all on the boogeyman "corporations/capitalists". There is a world beyond your stupid fantasies you are pinning the failure of governance and administration on private players who (if they are in Cali) already pay high taxes, infact the reason why everything is so costly in california is in part due to its geography and silicon valley(one of the largest destroyers of jobs) If the US had a functional govt, then education and healthcare would've been reformed and the deadlock resulting from regulatory capture of necessary measures by idealogues on both ends would've been resolved.

@bobfg3130 If anybody is denying facts here its you. Yoy are selectively twisting facts to suit your preferred narrative. "Most criminals are poor before they involved in crime" they dont turn to crime because they are poor you idiot, they turn to crime when they have no way out of poverty that whatever efforts they engage in isnt enough to drag them out. My father was born in poverty, Countless others too, they didnot turn to life of crime because they had a robust social support system in their extended family employment opportunities to feed their ambitions and stave of hunger. You are twisting statistical data and interpretting it in the most smooth brained manner . True Poverty is an issue but focusing on poverty as if that solves everything is kinda stupid because regardless of whether you are poor what propels you into crime is circumstances poverty being one amongst the contributing factors, but solving poverty requires you to set aside ideology.
