ethnolinguistic homogenity or atleast a relative majority can do wonders for a nations development. Morality and naive idealism has rarely been the cornerstone for national development in any given state across the planet. Japan and Sweden's advantages stem from the their overwhelming ethnolinguistic majorities. It has nothing to do with Skin colour case in point would be African states like Morocco, Ghana, Egypt and Botswana having better socio economic indicators than their "diverse" peers.

@tannercollins9863 America's golden years versus now ? Plus Japan doesnt have to worry about a potentially hostile minority.

Asking questions when the answer is obvious and empirically evident would naturally invite ridicule unless ofcourse its proven true in hindsight.

@SevScout I'd prefer Science over Faith.

🤣sure thats been said before. But funny all the same.

well there is. its like saying nothing wrong with nuclear devices. Depends on how you use it.

The Encyclopedia was on of humanity's finest achievements

@darklight6013 nothing "sadly" about that. Japan has a functioning welfare system. Its efficacy depends on people doing their part. Leeching off of the society is as bad as the society not doing what it must for their less fortunate.

@SevScout wasnt advocating for rationalizing stupidity or blind faith. You fail to see my point and what i said was a mere observation and in noway a rebuke of "asking questions". The fact that we were watching this video now shows that we were looking for answers which would require us to figure out the questions to ask in the first place.Unless ofcourse this was recommended.
3
@SevScout well if you cant believe the authorities, whats the point of bestowing them with authority. My arguement is simple Hindsight is 20/20, whatever the facts maybe.

Would be bad move from an economic standpoint, but politically that would give Tamilians incredible opportunities.
2
Magic bullet solutions easily penetrate the minds of the cognitively challenged.
2
Tell that to Atatturk or Nasser or the Kuomintang Party. Two out of those three countries are either middle income or upper middle income countries.
2
@aadithyanarayanan2978 wont cause ? More like wont be fatal. Germ theory is still relevant as bacteria's are still a major cause for fatal diseases across the planet, just saying if you are disputing that too.

Amongst the Greatest contributions of Western Civilization.

Well they failed against a superior military force.

@vishred2899 true.

@Tguchi26 Its necessary to maintain their society. Most people have drank the kool aid on "diversity", "immigration" and "mulitculturalism" the once that havent are usually far right idiots who cant even formulate a cohesive response as to why ?
1
@user-jq6wf1xk5g protect your "borders" is like trying to dam a river with chain fencing. Unless you live on an Island or large natural barriers you have very little options on controlling immigration. What matters more is the "why" it should be restricted, the how can be engineered.
1
@Tguchi26 It is impossible, but the majority can be, to better word it, it needs to be. Or else you could end up like the United states. One of the most productive real estate on the planet wasted in the name of blind idealism.

Eugenics is like a hammer or a scalpel a tool if you will, depends on how you use it.
1
@AlohaQV american subsidized crops ?. Special kind of moron are you. Haiti has no bloody say in American domestic agricultural policy. What are they gonna do about it ?.
1
@AlohaQV $20 billion dollars ? Dont pull a random sum out of your hat. Ever heard of Singapore ? Haiti could very well havr negotiated a favourable settlement if they werent "pakka anticolonialists" leaders driven by idealized arrogance shouldnt be allowed to lead a group of uneducated and culturally deficient group of people. Giving money to an illiterate person without giving the basic education and trade skills to utilize it is like giving a drunkard perpetual access to a free bar.

Storage is still a problem.

He was largeley useless other than as a prop for national unification, if anything he was the representation that begged for its freedom and courtesy of our colonizers mercy we got it. Hurray.

I mean the metrics or traits that you value is what decides whether something is good or bad. Self righteous intellectualism more than half a century after the fact is not exactly the pinnacle of objective assessment. Its like equating Iron=Evil. This is a case of guilt by association.

Automatically deleting comments without assessing the nature and context of the comments is a pathetic response regardless of how "inclusive" or "representative" the content maybe.

asia had more diverse and illustrious civilization than africa ever had. That being said swahili coast was is and always will be a region of tremendous potential.

@r2b212 ah VOX, a source of unadultered content.

You must be an intellectual.
1
@amellirizarry9503 please don't. There is already enough brain dead ideologues out there. Don't really need more.
1
So crazy. I am sure Intel or TSMC can work wonders without their CEOs.

Left in general doesnt think about what happens two days from now, they are more "live in the moment" kinda people kinda hedonistic, but each to their own.
