  1. Obsession with ideology is in itself a cancer. Be it capitalism or socialism. And this guy is what ? A phd student? Of what exactly. Before using a platform to demonise capitalism or critiquing culture you might wanna realise that western world and its left wing constructs are just a speck in the long and complicated world history. I say this as somebody who has voted communist governments into power. If you cant provide tangiable benefits to people no amount of projectile vomiting of imagined ideology is enough to convince the sensible of your ideology's superiority or even relative advantage. Impressionable youths might respond and with how americans screwed up their system by creating globalisation just adds to the fury of the people against capitalists. People who think like you have had an outsized influence on my country and its politics and people like me had their fortunes improved only after our country adopted economic liberalism if you can call it that, from how our colonial masters your countrymen treated us the only plus is under the present system we have better economic freedom though not by any meaningful margin but i would still vote for the communists particularly because they know damage they've done. Better the devil you know. Also the world isnt a monolith might wanna rememeber that when extolling the virtues of leftism(however you define it). Plus Human beings are individual creatures as much they are social beings. You are arguements are no different from the right wing nuts own the platform they just happen to be on the opposite end of the spectrum.
