  1. It's amazing how creative the Ukrainians have become in using social media, hybrid warfare, and wartime propaganda. Ukraine is not an easy nation to invade and conquer, so there's really no reason why the Kremlin would have expected Ukraine to become a US/NATO colony and puppet state only used as a launching point to invade Russia. It might be more of an economic incentive for Russia to prevent Ukraine from establishing closer relations with the European Union and NATO. Russia would be losing a major trading partner and a market for Russian-made military equipment.
