@dylanmurphy9389 I doubt you're replying to true atheists or agnostics. These are just people who hate all religions, or either people who are trying to make a philosophical argument without using logic and reason.
I don't like to judge people, but most of the time, they're not upset with Christian virtues of forgiveness, being like Jesus, and being opposed to killing and theft.
I thinks it's the anti-gay, anti-sodomy, and morality codes in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
If they actually thought religious people were all mentally ill and believing in fairy tales, that wouldn't personally harm or offend an non-religious person.
I would genuinely pity a person rather than just assuming they're part of a cult and can't leave.
IMO, they heard someone religious, a politician, or an evangelist preacher telling them that homosexuality was immoral, and only heterosexual families should be promoted.
No other parts of the Christian Bible are as controversial and in conflict with modern society than the condemnation of homosexuality in Abrahamic religions.
Simply being religious doesn't mean a rejection of science, promotion of theocracy, and an opposition to gay rights.
