For the Yamatos, would a Richelieu-esque design with two quad 18.1" turrets forwards in an A4-B4 arrangement have been superior to the historical A3-B3-X3 arrangement, given that one of the design requirements for the class was the ability to engage two enemy battleships at once and that attempting to do so with the historical three-triples arrangement would mean engaging one enemy ship with six guns and the other with only three (hampering the Yamato's ability to accurately walk its fire onto that vessel), whereas a two-quads arrangement would allow it to engage each enemy ship with enough guns to allow accurate ranging on both?
