  2. Why did the Nassaus lose speed so badly when turning? Shouldn't a short, fat ship, like the Nassaus, be less affected by speed loss in a turn, since its lower aspect ratio means that the increase in its frontal area at a given sideslip angle compared to when it's going completely straight is less severe than it would be for a very long, thin ship?
