I'd also argue for the inclusion of the 11" guns on the Germans' modernized predreadnoughts; Schlesien and Schleswig-Holstein lasted into WWII and saw action in WWII (in fact, the very first shots of the war were fired by Schleswig-Holstein's 11-inchers), and they're definitely battleships, albeit admittedly very old ones.

Given that the correlation between range and shell performance is because both are dependent on the shell's speed, rather than due to range itself having any intrinsic effect on performance, why not use muzzle velocity (which, unlike range, isn't affected by the turret's mechanical limitations) instead of range?
