  1. The Vikings were pirates and plunders. The Scandinavians in old Russia were mostly traders, so technically there weren't Vikings. Yes they were important for creation of Old-Russian state, but the most Russians nowdays (who are intersting in history) see this fact as western propaganda und don't believe it.
