Comment from a Ukrainian: “It doesn’t seem like a negotiation to me, more like a cruel auction. My main concern is that we are being sold for someone else’s gain. I am afraid that the USA sees us as just an asset to sell and move on,
56
But it asks an important question as to where Trumps loyalties lie, and from that where he will put his energies. Will he support the invader, or the invaded?
48
She is laughing at his megalomaniac belief in his own powers
42
US betrayal of an ally and, worse, kicking an invaded country in its darkest moments. Unforgivable
27
@pratiksoni2949 She is not laughing at the issues. She is laughing at his megalomaniac ways of answering the question. ‘Only I, Donald Trump, can sort this.’
26
@Supras111 just over half of America…
17
I’m afraid she is laughing at him, not the issues. He comes across, at times, like a complete megalomaniac baboon. ‘I can win everything!’ ‘NOONE is as brilliant as me!’ ‘Putin and Zelenskyy, oh I could handle them.’ From a man who was putty in Putin hands, it’s all a load of nonsense.
11
@ehoffman2260 You don’t take cheap shots and accuse an ally of being a dictator, without serious consequences. His loose mouth will create ever more chaos.
11
@amicuslex4897 But he was responding to this particular question about the war. Why should he be talking about border security when that was not the issue in this video?
11
@luvpaws6958 So, what assumption are you making? That Putin would have not invaded because of Trump? That Hamas or Israel would not have attacked because of Trump? That is what Trump would like to believe (because he believes he is Superman) and so what he wants you to believe. But there is no proof - and Trump was so clearly under Putins influence, I don’t think that there was a single chance he could have stopped Putin doing exactly what he wanted.
10
This may be the case. If so, God also protected Hitler (1 assassination attempt) and Stalin (4 assassination attempts), while failing to protect Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, and so on. It’s an interesting theology.
8
One nation under God - from the party (and leader) who have created the worst tensions in the US for generations.
8
Trump happened
7
For the moment. All of us have amazing energy when we begin a new phase of life - especially, I’m guessing, if we are given unlimited power. The Ego is in overdrive.
6
Standing up to a bully takes courage. Bravo Mrs Pence
6
What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul?
5
I cannot believe that this reporter could show so much disrespect for the President. Shocked. Were both questions planted in advance, to praise one and to put the other down?
5
Hopefully one day he won’t be either
5
Very easily
5
Really? Where did you find that information from?
4
Listened to Trump lately?!
4
Common sense? From Trump? Weird.
4
@7pinky791 But good reporters will ask important questions. Not questions designed to unsettle a guest. Shameful. America is getting worse every day.
4
How is he a phenomenal businessman if he keeps going bankrupt? Especially when he was handed much of it on a plate to begin with!
3
@MarilynRivera1212 Yup. He knows how to court votes. If he was a Christian, the aggressive, divisive, name calling, speeches would not be happening. Nor would his aggressive immigrant policies - fundamental to the Christian faith is welcoming the stranger. Somehow, attackin* the stranger seems to have become a ‘Christian’ policy
3
Why then did Jesus ‘spare’ Hitler and Stalin, both of whom had assassination attempts? But not Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King? Or Brother Roger of Taize?
3
@txberta1915 Bless you. I wish the same for you. I trust in a loving and compassionate God who understands how complex life is! I am very joyful in my faith.
3
Just listen to some of his extraordinary ramblings…
3
Clearly a much better debater than Trump.
3
Totally agree. It normalises, and reinforces a narrative of scapegoating. Make America Hate Again is being extraordinarily successful.
3
@alexvang5639 But a President with decency would treat him with greater kindness, not less, recognising the vulnerable position he was in. Unbelievable rudeness, but what we are rapidly coming to associate with Trump and his followers. No decency, no compassion, and no diplomatic skills.
3
@allisondoe378 loves the Lord??? Crumbs! Really?? If he ‘loved the Lord,’ where are the fruits of the Spirit (including gentleness, kindness and self control)? And church going? What about the endless lying and the ‘stolen election’ (which every court case so far has dismissed)? Or Bible reading (he doesn’t seem to have a clue about the Bible). Still, he certainly knows the right words to persuade his Christian voters. But loves the Lord?? Goodness me.

And the proof is…?
2
Comment from a Ukrainian woman: ‘It doesn’t seem like a negotiation to me, more like a cruel auction. My main concern is that we are being sold for someone else’s gain. I am afraid that the USA sees us as just an asset to sell and move on’.
2
And how many billions were recently promised for Israel?
2
Well, if anyone took a similar video of Trumps sometimes bizarre comments or ramblings, I think you could say he can be just as bad.
2
@ Well, in between he has incited an insurrection, encouraged election denial, been convicted of sexual abuse, pardoned those who threatened democracy. He has a lot to do to prove he is a man of integrity, stability - and wisdom. It’s a mighty task.
2
@attacksnake In such a volatile situation (this election) why keep exacerbating the hatred, scapegoating and divisions? Make America Hate Again has, sadly, been totally successful.
2
He needs to show the proof if the accusation is to stick - but MAGA followers will have already made up their mind.
2
He doesn’t believe in NATO. I don’t believe in Donald Trump.
2
Unbelievably rude, and designed to put him down from the beginning - but then isn’t the questioner related to Marjorie Taylor Greene?
2
@richardpatrick2852 Sorry - ‘He never attacks anyone first.’ Have you actually listened to his speeches?
2
You can honestly listen to his meandering, incoherent, malevolent, ‘speeches’ and call him a ‘statesman’? A statesman? Heaven help us.
2
@TheEncourager-p2e I’m an Anglican priest in the U.K. A Democrat supporter. I, too, pray every day…
2
Trump seems a bit of a Joe Biden after this…
2
Bone spurs?
2
Why is Trump not demanding payback from Israel?
1
So do you think God blesses the closing down of USAID, which helps millions to survive? And God blesses his proposed ethnic cleansing in Gaza? Funny sort of God if so. An Anglican priest
1
Easily
1
My word, how quickly he has has wrecked our belief in America as a caring, and compassionate, and outward looking, country. Sad how he is taking the US from being loved and admired to being feared and disliked.
