It depends... what would an EU army do that NATO doesn't already? There would be a significant overlap.

@NemeczeK101 Why not? Would you run away?

@raulblaga61 Well, then justify your opinion instead of laughing... I wanna follow your logic.

@danielefabbro822 According to the 2022 census, Italy has 1.5 million Muslims... quite the difference from your number.

@ParawhoreLoL So, infighting would be better?

@passais Different military interests? Isn't the US military a single entity? States don't have armies or specific military interests.

@NemeczeK101 Not fight for the EU, fight for each country that's part of the EU. You don't defend organizations, you defend countries. Anyway, NATO does the job already.

@NemeczeK101 NATO does the job in protecting us Europeans. Sure it's an alliance but where does the personnel comes from? Existing national armies.

@eK101 Probably just the way we are interpreting "EU army". I see it as an offshoot of NATO mostly not to be dependent of US' will at all times and to counter the idea some Americans have that Europe doesn't have what it takes to defend itself. In that sense of course cooperation between all European countries would make the block much stronger. But I sense the overlap with NATO would make this hard to implement properly. Better to fine tune the already existing organization.
