Fun exercises for YouTube content but rarely ever happens. In the last 30 years only Sudan has split.

@sebastianprimomija8375 And which country do they belong to?
6
So you deny the existence of true far-right movements? I can tell them apart from moderate conservatives.
6
Conservative ideas are not moderate, otherwise they wouldn't be conservative.
4
So what's the threshold for calling a party "far right"? 🤔
3
What does that have to do with splitting Belgium?
3
Not always... are you really denying the existence of far-right movements in Europe?
2
@helioslegigantosaure6939 Is Flemish culture threatened by the Walloon part of the country?
2
So when are you allowed to call a party "far-right"?
2
But that doesn't have to do with splitting Belgium in particular.
2
Never, but we have to call the far-right "far-right" when we see it.
2
@janitoalevic Only if you like to be fooled, which is usually the the thing for populists... easy solutions for complex problems.
2
@elephantyarn7378 Yeah, I know about Serbia and Montenegro but that was a split inside a split and just waiting to happen as the country was literally called Serbia and Montenegro. Belgium is a bit different.
2
@oldbordergeek And you think all of a sudden new politicians that care for the people will rise? Also, isn't neoliberalism basically rooted in super deregulated free-market capitalism? If so parties on the left should be rising, not on the right.
2
They won't split... too much of a hassle.
1
Oh it definitely has, unfortunately were created that monster ourselves.
1
Because it would be a huge hassle to little or no benefit to said countries.
1
Exactly 💯

@useodyseeorbitchute9450 That was just a generic comment to the OP's point. I don't agree with a lot of people but don't call the far-right. I'm not that familiar with the Belgium situation but according to some folks here that party does have indeed some neo-nazis in their ranks which gives plausibility to your scenario. Which makes some sense, if neo-nazis exist they should congregate somewhere, no?
1
The far-left is avoided because Communists and some Anarchist types aren't having any decent showing anywhere. They will be mentioned when that happens.
1
@lkl3210 Still they are not a threat both given their relatively small numbers but also because we live in a super capitalistic world... what are the chances of anything Marxist ever thriving? Reasons why nobody sees any reason to do that cordon sanitaire.
1
@useodyseeorbitchute9450 Well yes and no... as much as that term has been abused there's a real far-right as well.
1
What does that have to do with splitting Belgium though?
