@greenlime8726 Pakistani and Bangladeshi are not different from Italians in any way? LMAO

@AdanSolas Using terms like "absolute destruction" doesn't help either
40
@AdanSolas I'm not upset at all, I just don't think hyperbole helps here.
31
@PeterPeter-qc7ky Why are foreign workers bad? They often do what locals don't want to do.
20
@jamessaintjames1387 Asylum seekers are not illegal by definition, they won't be charged. That's the whole point of the refugee status.
19
@shutup2751 Denmark doesn't have a huge maritime border right next to Africa
18
So they praise a right wing leader and you talk about left wing propaganda? Uh?
15
@stormcloak702 Food delivery apps need cheap workforce
11
@davidcooks2379 That's not a serious proposal
4
Imagine if other continents did the same... there are millions of Europeans not living in Europe.
4
Most of them are not refugees, they're economic migrants. Still a refugee is a subset of immigrant, it's not mutually exclusive.
3
Albania isn't even that big

@beepboopbeepp You register once you're in the country, not in your country of origin. You become an illegal if your registration is denied and you don't leave the country soon after. In your example of course you wouldn't be a refugee nor looking for asylum seeker so yeah, you'd quickly be in trouble. That's why it's important to distinguish between real asylum seekers and economic migrants.
2
You'd expect them all in rags and malnourished?
1
@solinvictus6587 Asylum seekers are not illegal by definition, that implies being charged which they won't be.
1
They are not glorifying her... and I'm not even a right wing person
1
@zen1647 As far as I can tell they don't use the word "illegal" because that would carry a criminal connotation and asylum seekers are not charged just because they crossed the border, only if they remain after being denied their stay. It's not a thing I give too much importance though, just semantics.
1
@panzrok8701 But then again you are not in charge of the country's economy and won't have people kicking your butt if the economy tanks
1
It depends, you cannot treat them all the same way. Some are skilled some are not, some have a job other have not, etc.
1
@Chadrick2 Well, they weren't given the chance, were they?
1
@Chadrick2 And so you felt the right to go there and do it for them?
1
@Chadrick2 Fine, you have a colonial mindset, I don't
1
@SDT90 Yet Meloni basically admits Italy needs a chunk of them. Give them jobs and see crime decreasing.
1
@00dude3 Asylum seekers won't be charged as the term "illegal" suggests. That's one of the core tenets of the refugee status.
