They are.

Desalination is quite expensive, uses a ton of energy and comes with environmental hazards... naturally those who need it the most are those who can less afford to have them.

@crispinfornoff206 As if you didn't understand... millions of years ago there were no humans on earth, doesn't matter how hot or cold it was. Now we kinda have to deal with it.

It's not only the BBC.

@JamesSmith-qs4hx Maybe in your corner of the world, I've barely seen rain in 3 months or so.
4
@skippyone3085 I think you are cherry picking the most extreme predictions.

@Bungle-UK It's not pure speculation, it's based on models and trends. A pure speculation is saying snow will cover the Sahara by 2030. The word "could" already denotes that the projection is not 100% certain, but between 0% and 100% there's a huge difference.
3
@crispinfornoff206 I don't think that was ever claimed.

@@ummerrahh There was no prediction that the glaciers would be gone by 2014... that would imply Antarctica would be no more which is impossible. The Maldives shoreline is now bigger? Where the hell are you getting that info?
2
@JamesSmith-qs4hx I said Antarctica which is clearly not the same. But it's kinda funny you claiming that melted ice doesn't increase the sea levels... I wonder where that water goes.
2
@briansmith8490 Chemtrails? 😂
2
Good info. Some people will still prefer to ignore it just to be "right".
2
@URBeingLiedTo They know what they are talking about though, it's their field of expertise... for you to rebutt what they are saying you should be at their level of knowledge. Saying everything is false and blah blah won't cut it. Prove how they are wrong and why do you have a better outlook for the future.
1
@propork I guess it makes you smarter if you write "active global engineering" even if you have no clue on what it is or if it has any relevance to the subject matter.
1
@briansmith8490 Are you really equating chemtrails, a never proven conspiracy theory, to wildfires which definitely happen?
1
No projection would give 100% certainty on that.
1
@gonnabeok What would be the alternative? They are using the exact same terms scientists use.
1
Sky? I think you got the wrong channel there.
1
Tell that to conspiracy theorists... they make a career out of that.
