@enigmaticallis3110 Do you realize how hard it is to put together a list of missing people? Everyone must report to the authorities as not to be marked as dead. Some people are not even on the island anymore. And not even thinking on the task of identifying people who were basically cremated.

@enigmaticallis3110 Especially the children? How do you prioritize one age group over the others? What about the children? Died, as with the adults and the elderly. Simple. Do you even know how heads are counted? Those who survived much check with the authorities for their name to be removed from the missing persons list. And the missing list will only include locals, how can they possibly know who was in Lahaina that day but was not a local? As for searching, do you think the authorities go around searching for people expecting they'll pop up from behind the bushes? Some have even left the island. They are doing their job... their only obligation is to the people affected by the tragedy not random strangers shouting online.
