Comments by "soundscape26" (@soundscape26) on "Johnny Harris: BUSTED!" video.
Johnny Harris sensationalism has been on the rise lately. It's becoming more style than substance.

It's obvious yes... and since he got that Emmy his ego ballooned.

@tbirdparis Yes, I agree with your overall point. I think Johnny's content grew quite sensationalistic lately. And the editing became too ADHD for my liking. Still, his audience numbers grew a lot so obviously I'm in the minority here.

@leninalopez2912 He literally has a whole series called "How the US stole X"... and one on European colonialism. His points of view align with those of NATO? So do mine. What do you want, that he plays the devil's advocate?

@bfattori01 That makes absolutely no sense. By your logic we shouldn't be able to critique a movie, debate sports, etc etc.

@tbirdparis Johnny has a lot of non-gen Z audience. I even think millennials suplant those.

@bfattori01 I didn't watch any of the 2 videos in full, they are simply too long for the interest I have in UFO's. 1h10m combined is simply too much. Thunderf00t doesn't have the necessary gift of brevity and recycles a lot of stuff from previous videos. As for Johnny, I used to watch his videos but lately I find him too in love with himself. His videos grew in sensationalism as he makes everything sound like it's a big revelation when it's far from it. Someone above put it perfectly, he reports from his living room as if he were on the ground in Afghanistan. He used to be much more down to earth (his Cyprus series was great) but as I said in my comment above, his ego ballooned since his Emmy. And I'm saying this as someone who shares roughly the same worldview as him. This is my critique as a viewer, I don't need to make videos myself. The same way as we can go watch a football match, or a movie and offer our opinions on it not being neither footballers nor actors/directors.

@PBeringer I'm not much into those definitions either, it's all very blurry. Besides, it's more of a typical American thing, they are not used much in Europe... aside from perhaps the UK.

@e.m.451 Yes, Johnny Harris and Thoughty2 don't have much in common.

@andregon4366 It baffles me that people engage with flat earthers at all. And yes, that includes Thunderf00t as well.

@russellharrell2747 Johnny Harris is a Millennial though, so he sits in the middle.

Thoughy2 is great. Nothing wrong with sponsored segments, they pay the bills. You can skip them easily.

@hakancarlsson2881 Johnny and Thunderf00t but have a thing in common... huge egos.

He's not the only YouTuber doing that. Personal style I guess.

@asimqazi1943 He pulls 10 million views a month... his numbers have been quite stable for a while.

I used to like Johnny's videos but I think popularity (and an Emmy) got to his head. Now I find him obnoxious and over the top with super bloated videos.

I used to like Johnny Harris videos but ever since he got his Emmy he became quite obnoxious and the videos started to bloat. Now I don't care anymore.
