  1. Take a tip from the Bible, save 10%. It's up to you to decide the best places to keep it, but everyone should put away 10% each year, and let it build up through your lifetime. There may, or will, come a time when you will need it. Meanwhile, you can at least put it to work in some fashion so that it accrues value. Online savings is a great place to start. You can expand from there, or just keep it there.

  2. No, you don't have to give 10% of your hard earned pay to some guy in a suit every Sunday. That's probably why churches are in decline here. They keep wanting more and more of our money for nothing.

  3. Income levels are too low to live comfortably for most people. That is why we don't save. The overpaid fatcats can save all day and it means nothing to them. We need equity for the common man.
