  1. Moscow was the turning point. Hitler's micromanging failed to concentrate his forces by attacking Leningrad too early. He gave up the element of surprise, then by redirecting, he diluted his forces even more. You said it yourself though. It was the biggest invasion in history. Not enough experience.
