The laws restricting hunting and fishihg are sensible on a small island where if we all started hunting and fishing randomly, there would be anarchy and the population of animals would decline completely.   21. Don't agree with Dominix re if there had been mobile phones in ww1. Most people were patriots and wanted to fight and beat the Germans. We can see Ukraine as the model for this theory: lotanof video of death and destruction but no widespread riots and protests in Russia, Ukraine or elsewhere, to stop it. The first world war was a just war against the Germans and Austrians, for they invaded other countries foe poor reasons, backed by their wider worldview that they should take control of other countries. History is not how the BBC or other low depth documentaries describe it.

British troops were rotated out every week or so except when major offensives were underway. We have lost contact with the reality of ww1. It was awful but not as theatrically awful as we imagine we know it to be. Get a grip on reality everyone. And the British army won the first world war in 1918
