@jamesmorrow1646 I'm glad your conscience is clear. James, but blind faith is as uncertain now as it ever has been. How wrong were the virus modellers ? I'm afraid you're catering to the consumerist continuum. Leaves are the best solar panels, they cost nothing and are fully recyclable. They come with a host of beneficial byproducts, oxygen, soil, foodstuffs, medicines, fuel and building materials. And, of course, they use carbon dioxide. I'm probably not going to change your commitment, but certainty about the future is somewhat conceited. Or the realm of vested interests. All generated energy ends up as heat, an inconvenient truth that the controllers would rather you didn't consider (because it's out of their control). I think you need to keep an open mind, particularly when it comes to the future. You're taking someone else's word for it, and their livelihood depends on the illusion they're fostering. In these climes, solar panels and windmills aren't going to cut it. Damming up the estuaries would go some way, but, oddly, that never gets mentioned. One can only conclude that the "crisis" is manufactured, as real potential solutions are off the table. The climate has always changed in an unpredictable fashion (cf The Butterfly Effect) and it would be better to cater for that than pretend we have any control over it. Only an autocrat would try and have it otherwise
