  16.  @Alpha_Online  Whilst I was alluding to the subject of the piece, I quite like the way you've turned it on it's head. To me, as a Brit, modesty is implicit. Her arrogance is what stands out like a sore thumb. I don't think a sense of entitlement was ever innate in the British psychi, it was always understood that things had to be strived for/ fought for/ defended against to stand any chance of success. Some second generation freeloaders may have held the expectation of entitlement view 150 years ago, but they by no means represented the mainstream view, and would have been derided as unproductive even then. Admittedly, these ideas might have been washed out by the social engineers lately, but they will remain definitive.
