That was pretty dishonest though. I can't stand Charlie Kirk but that was a cheap gotcha. It's not like he was there to examine the image, it's was a quick trick to make home look bad with trickery. He does plenty of dumb shit already, focus on the real issues.

@texajp1946 so often I find myself agreeing with the left overall then someone like you comes along and says something so utterly stupid that it makes me back away from progressives. You really should get your head out of your ass, rhetorical statements like that only work in your little revolutionary echo chamber.
12
Explain the bigotry. Do you mean calling out Islamic fundamentalists? Would you consider calling out white nationalists bigotry?
9
Never actually seen anyone defend squatters so shamelessly. You straight up said "in countries that respect laws about housing that won't happen" while openly encouraging people to not respect housing laws.
5
@adrien5834 Yea yea, I get what you meant, but if you don't know what the word terrorism means then no wonder you excuse kidnapping and murdering concert goers. Israel ain't perfect by any stretch but to compare them to Hamas is hilariously stupid.
5
So does terrorism
4
He explained it multiple times in considerable detail.
3
@ToxicAudri please, you're still doing just what I was talking about. Art is only OK as long as it fits the parameters that make YOU feel safe and or unoffended. You don't have the right to make up some arbitrary rule about what's allowed and what isn't. YOU don't get to decide that.
3
@clangboomsteam I'm aware. He was saying it withing the context of encouraging people to break squatting laws. The entire damned discussion is about property laws. That's ironic. Flew right over your head huh?
3
@adrien5834 I wasn't referring to Israel
3
@Zarastro54 then by all means refute his rationale
2
@mrgotitfordalow Dave Chapelle isn't funny? lol, ok. That tells me all I need to know about your taste in comedy. Maybe Hannah Gadsby is more your speed.
2
@HammerStudioGames The fact that you reference Patreon and not "still employed by SNL" kinda says it all doesn't it?
2
@ToxicAudri Bullshit. In your world the Chapelle show would have never existed. For that matter, Norm MacDonald, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, hell, most of the greats would have never been allowed to make it.
2
This seems to be one of those left wing stereotype responses that the right makes fun of. You're fine if he's criticizing catholics or fundamentalists christians in Washington. But when he criticizes Islam for far worse offenses, it's racism. Emma, which Muslim country would you prefer to live in over a liberal western nation?
2
@andyghkfilm2287 what does "respect laws about housing" mean? How can you possibly conclude I'm wrong?
2
@andyghkfilm2287 not so much. Feeling entitled to confiscating property that someone has paid for simply because it may not be presently occupied for is no more justified than feeling entitled to the food in someone's cupboard when you personally feel like they have enough. If I bought a vacation property in Florida, it's not greedy of me to not want hobos to take it over when I'm away. What if my mom died and left me her house? Do I need to immediately sell it or risk it becoming a free for all where anyone that feels entitled gets to claim it as theirs? Do I still have to pay the power bill? Do I have to sign the lease over to them simply because they climbed through the window? Is my car community property if I leave it unlocked simple cause they didnt have to break in?
2
@Zarastro54 He's spent his entire career criticizing Christian fundamentalism. Why is everyone perfectly fine when he does that but when he criticizes gay people being thrown off buildings he's Islamophobic? Obviously there's context for any cultural movement, Nazism included, but that doesn't excuse Muslim countries of giving the death sentence to apostates does it?
1
BTW, Why is she named after a male horse?
1
This is so damned absurd. When did he say "brown people" were the problem? He's been consistent for years that religious extremism is a problem but as soon as he points out the white hot focal point of religious extremism you guys get defensive? I'm not a big fan of Israel but you guys are legitimately making excuses for jihadists creating suicide bombing children. Wtf?
1
Jesus both discussions were painful. Does anyone in this video, from either side, know anything about Rock & Roll? From idiots thinking rock peaked at Chuck Berry to other idiots thinking it died with Bruce Fucking Springsteen. As if rock isn't still filling stadiums or having huge festivals all over the world to this day. Or thinking it belongs to black people or is based on white male angsts. Both are pure stupidity. I'd bet good money that not a single one of the people in this video has ever seen a mosh pit from the inside.
1
@NicolasCaja Not at all what I said but whatever. Trying to reason with the far left is as bad as trying to reason with Trumpers. Both have lost the ability to reason.
1
You picked two of the most influential and wealthy commedians in the business and people are still trying desperately to cancel Chapelle. Up and coming comedians aren't going to have the same ability to speak freely.
1
@projectgraham414 Yea, whatever. Keep your head in the sand.
1
@projectgraham414 You literally just made my point. "We don't tolerate." You want to gatekeep comedy. Determine what's allowed and what isn't. Soft people that are terrified of being offended. It's the reason safe spaces were invented. You all want to live in a saccharine, bland world where theres no chance that someone may push your boundaries. I'm not wrong, I'm just not a delicate child.
1
@projectgraham414 You literally said the words for me. "Toe the line," "We just don't tolerate." You can't actually allow anyone to push the envelope. You're terrified of being offended. You'll allow a certain amount of edginess but just enough that it still feels safe. In you're world there would be no Rock & Roll. Comedy would be like that prime time safe "variety show" comedy of the 60s. still safe for the kids and approved by the censors. Art isn't supposed to exist in the narrow window that you consider safe.
1
@taranullius9221 On the contrary. I'm all for the will of the people. What I'm not for is trying to artificially level the playing field. If you don't like a comedian, don't go see them. It's when activists try to get people's job taken away and "demand" action that they attempt to remove the choice of others. I couldn't care less who the delicate people watch or don't watch. But if all they did was stopped watching we all wouldn't be hearing about the issue now would we?
1
@taranullius9221 I didn't say it was. Nice strawman
1
@ToxicAudri some "folks" will always be pissed about something because that's effectively their hobby. Nobody's "targeting" groups. We're not talking about lynch mobs (except maybe on your side. We're talking about jokes. Simple speech that can easily be ignored. What you're talking about is basically intersectionalism and it's stupid. You're effectively arguing for a class based society where some groups are arbitrarily afforded privilege and/or protection based on the color of their skin or their perceived "victim" status.
1
@fivetriplezero8985 Their oppressors? For fucks sake man we're talking about comedy, not the damned trans Atlantic slave trade. Jesus Christ get off your high horse. WTF does an underage slave have to do with anything at all? What a completely absurd thing to say.
1
@brandonrathbone3690 Not what I said. You're basically agreeing with what Seinfeld said. You're not content with not watching them. You want try and stop anyone else from watching them too. You're proving the point of the video.
1
@brandonrathbone3690 "Honey?" Did you just call another dude honey?
1
@brandonrathbone3690 Third post to make the same whiney point. Nobody's trying to stifle your free speech. Get over yourself.
1
@brandonrathbone3690 I'm not the one that used the term punching down. What you're advocating is protected groups and selective speech. You're allowed to make jokes about straight people but not gay people? Or maybe gay people but not trans? Which races are protected by self important busybodies this week? Which ones are fair game? You're not arguing against the video. You're just making excuses for cancel culture.
1
Did the woman imply she's a maoist? Lol.
1
@andyghkfilm2287 It has nothing to do with “personally feel they have had enough.” Who has the right to decide that? It's not simply a personal judgement call. That's why property rights exist. They're welcome to however much they like. What they're not welcome to is what someone else already owns. Some random stranger doesn't get to decide if I'm using my property enough. No, the government won't tow and impound a car that's sitting in my driveway just because I haven't driven it in a month. That's absurd. I can have a second card that I only drive in the summer. That doesn't give someone else the right to just take it in the winter because I'm not currently using it. If you want to address housing issues that's fine. The solution isn't to just allow someone to take things that don't belong to them. The initial point stands though. It's ironic to invoke "in countries that respect laws about housing" while actively promoting squatting. As if property rights are irrelevant to housing laws.

@adrien5834 Most people don't have the balls to openly support terrorist organizations. The simple truth is the Palestinians exist because Israel has shown more restraint than the Palestinians would EVER have shown them. Israel was the only party that were ever open to a two state solution. The Palestinians want nothing less that Israel's annihilation. You say Israel perpetrated the worst massacre of civilians. Let's ignore for a moment the unreliable nature of the reporting on this (since much of it comes from the Palestinians. ) Why did Israel attack them? Was this a random assault because Israeli's are big meanies or is it in response to one of the worse single terror attacks in history?
