The vice president doesn't control the price of meat. Shocking, I know.
45
She literally said in this speech that inflation is down. Wtf are you talking about?
16
By all means explain exactly what Harris did that made food more expensive. Be specific.
9
I guess you missed the whole global pandemic and supply line shutdown huh?
4
@OppositionalDissent Tips were taxed before that
2
@chafeeracin611 The inflation reduction act was passed in August of 2022. At that time inflation was 8.3%. It's now 2.9%. How can you be so monumentally clueless?
2
@bartwilliams4478 Yes, because the inflation rate going down is a good thing. What war on fossil fuels? We're at all time record oil production. If that's a war on fossil fuels they're doing an awful job of it.
2
@BVN-TEXAS We've had one of, if not the fastest economic recovery from covid of any wealthy nation so yea, they kinda worked
1
@realitybob2 No one person is in control of the border. That's not how our government works.
1
@wesyoung9150 no, the president doesn't either
1
@jlivb well, she can form a complete sentence so she's already got something over the competition.
1
@Ninnjette- what? How did your brain form that thought?
1
@Ninnjette- how can you be so confidently stupid? Not only did I not say she couldn't do "anything," she also hasn't been president yet and therefore hasn't been in the position to do as much to fix things. Right now she's vice president. If she gets elected she'll be president. The president has more power than the vice president. Understand?
1
@Barbariandave6969 because is she gets elected she won't just be vice president any more. You know how elections work right?
1
@lisawesome7588 Sure Lisa. Can't be a Trumper without conspiracy theories.
1
@Ninnjette- 4 years ago was right in the middle of the shutdowns. The inflation reduction act was passed two years ago, it's been dropping since.
1
@davepatton7529 no rebuttal huh?
1
@Ninnjette- rent is generally based on property value. Do you want the government to control real estate? Gas doesn't keep going up. It's come down from the post covid prices and have pretty consistently been between $2.75 and $3 a gallon. Your post is simply wrong.
1
@lisawesome7588 well that was mature. That didn't really make sense as a response Lisa. If you're going to try to sound smart, at least be coherent.
1
@chafeeracin611 inflation overall is compounding but that's not how we measure inflation rate. By that measure, since it doesn't "reset" under each president it would have been several hundred percent under trump since there's almost always been some measure of inflation. Or it's something like 60-70% inflation since the 90s.
1
@chafeeracin611 what is your point? Compound inflation and current inflation rate isn't the same thing. Which president do you blame for the cumulative inflation of 1,954.06% from 1800 to when Trump left office? Or are you saying you're a big Obama fan since he had lower compound inflation per term than trump did?
1
@andrewMan9851 no it didn't. Not even close. Keystone wasn't even operational. It would have contributed less than 1% to the oil market. That's just misinformation that got passed around online.
1
@Carlo_Vlogz so supporting Ukraine since 2022 cause increased inflation... Which was 8.3% in 2022 and is now 2.9%......that math ain't mathing.
1
@andrewMan9851 you're repeating BS info.
1
@markwhite8332 we're at record production. Higher than it ever was under trump. Do you people just rely on your imagination?
1
@andrewMan9851 They didn't shut down the pipeline. It was never open to begin with. Even if it did open it would have contributed less than 1% to supply. That's not what caused the price increases.
1
@andrewMan9851 What exactly has been "exposed?" Economic recovery? Record job growth?
1
@andrewMan9851 I have yet to see you post number, a source or anything more than long debunked facebook rumors.
1
@NonnyBid It's entirely possible you're lying or at least wildly exaggerating. I live in the US too and I buy groceries several times a week. They haven't come anywhere close to tripling in price or even doubling. Some products have gone up by 20-40% (like beef.) If you make good money and live paycheck to paycheck then you've been foolish with your money. I'm far from rich and live pretty well. I also have over a years pay in savings (and climbing), because I'm not stupid with my money. Stop blaming others.
1
@NonnyBid The pipeline wasn't even functional. If you don't think the economy is growing you're not actually bothering to look at the reports and are just listening to Trumps rambling.
1
@markwhite8332 Ah, I see. If production is high under Trump it's because of Trump. If it's even higher under Biden it's because of the workers. You people are so laughably transparent. Oil production is measure by volume extracted. Record production means exactly that. More barrels per day than ever before.
1
@markwhite8332 please quote me saying Biden was mentally sound 2 months ago
1
@jlivb It's gotten significantly better under Biden by nearly every metric.
1
@Ruffington_Roast Are you just making that up and hoping people believe you? Look up inflation numbers from two years ago vs now.
1
@bartwilliams4478 I'm aware of what inflation is. What's your point?
1
@domdonofrio7974 Thinking about your girlfriend again?
1
@domdonofrio7974 my mom's 70 but if that turns you on....
1
@domdonofrio7974 you're dating my mom? She's 70 but if that turns you on go for it lol.
1
@bartwilliams4478 Which is demonstrably false. We're at record oil production, higher than we were under Trump. If that's a war on fossil fuels they're doing a bad job of it.
1
@bartwilliams4478 Once again, the pipeline was not functional. They didn't shut down the pipeline. They shut down construction of the pipeline. "Pretending the EPA isn't forcing regulations?" Of course they are. That's literally their job. Yea, we SHOULD block ANWR. Nobody's pretending regulation isn't happening. Regulations are supposed to happen. That's why we're generally not a polluted, poisonous landscape like some third world nations. Again, we're already producing more than we were under Trump. You can complain that we're not actively destroying every bit of available wilderness for it but that doesn't change the fact that last weeks oil production was 13.4 million barrels a day. More than Trump ever achieved. If volume was the issue gas would be even cheaper now so obviously that's not the issue. Also, oil is a global commodity. It's high everywhere and that isn't because of ANWR. Obama blocked ANWR too and gas was cheaper under him than it was under Trump. The pipeline you're complaining so much about would have accounted for less that 1% of the supply. That's not what made gas go up.
1
Not only did that start under trump, it also happened globally. Unless you think the US VP literally controls the entire global production and shipping industries.
1
@FoodPsychologyAwareness just went right over your head huh?
