First, 'mammal-like reptiles' is obsolete. We no longer think mammals or any synapsids evolved from or were reptiles. Some therapsids and their lineage before and after are of course ancestral to all mammals. They are synapsids and mammalian ancestry passes through all synapsid groups. Some of those ancestral therapsids would have had said teeth, but a specific trait like tooth type isn't necessarily indicative of ancestor-descendant relationship. Traits can be convergent; similar teeth independently arising in distinct lineages, e.g. wolves and hyenas. So don't think those therapsid teeth directly descended to modern or prehistoric canines.
