  1. That would require more work on the part of the presenters and possibly lead to a more boring video that is not as suitable for their audience. It's so much easier to say washing machines are used for chips.

  2. That information in microchips make little sense to me. The chips in those devices are very basic. I could buy much more powerful stuff on ebay in significant quantities.
