  1. If US does not openly "encourage" some members of NATO no new nations will get in. Clearly that is not happening for Ukraine because US itself is not convinced at this stage. With US elections around the corner the clock is ticking for Ukraine to give Biden a return on his support. No big wins and more western equipment being blown up will mean the democrats will need to find a way out.
